Close the lid set the valve to the sealing position. To do this first season the skin as desired and pour a little oil into the inner pot.
Place the lid on top securely and set the valve to sealing.
How to cook chicken in instant pot. Press the manual or pressure cook button and cook on high pressure for 10-15 minutes depending on the size of the chicken breast. Salsa chicken is also super easy to make in the oven. Place the chicken on top of the trivet in the Instant Pot breast side up.
Place your chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with silicone mat and drizzle with olive oil. Choose pressure cook and set the timer to 8 minutes. Use the Pressure CookManual setting and set.

Then place the trivet down in the water. Otherwise you will need to increase the cooking time. If your chicken breasts are frozen together you can either run some hot water over them and very carefully wedge them apart with a butter knife.
Can you make salsa chicken without an instant pot. Close the lid and turn the steam release valve to the sealing position. Once the pressure is released remove the lid and stir the chicken together.
Pour the thin liquid into the liner of the Instant Pot. Place chicken and stock inside the Instant Pot. Sprinkle any desired seasoning over the top of the chicken.

Simply place the meat in the liquid with as little overlapping as possible. Place in instant pot. Add chicken salt pepper onion powder and garlic powder to the Instant Pot.
When the chicken is done cooking allow the Instant Pot to do a quick release of the pressure by turning the valve to the VENTING position. Pressure cook on HIGH raw chicken for 12 minutes and frozen chicken. Coat with taco seasoning then bake at 450ºF for 15-20 minutes or until cooked to 165ºF.
